Pixelmator pro discount 202112/6/2023 I was hoping it was a typo and he meant photomator. And there is always Apple’s Photo, which is free, and does have an excellent Photo Editor. There are other options, but the ones that are equal to or better than Photomator may not have a lifetime option (and I will not pay a subscription for software). My only concern is that in a few years they release a “Pro” version, “killing” my “Lifetime” license.įor those that are unhappy with the current pricing, I understand that as well. I understand the opinion that Photomator for Mac should be free for those who paid for the iOS version prior to 08/22, and I felt that way at first, but when I looked back in my emails and saw that I only paid $8 for the iOS Photomator, and that Pixelmator is continuing to update the iOS version (instead of releasing a Pro version which would be a new product), I also understood Pixelmator’s position to charge for the Mac version of Photomator, and then didn’t mind paying for a Lifetime license (as a Pixelmator Pro license holder, the 30% discount helped). I understand that you’re trying to help, but by playing the devil’s advocate you risk coming across rather pretentious. I know, so 1990s, right? But tell us again Pixelmator how so much more costly it is to produce software nowadays and how we should all bow our heads, IN SILENCE, in awe at your generous offer to kindly allow us to pay you money! Man… I’m glad that you’re in a position where it doesn’t mean much for you, just know that things could be quite different for someone else.Īnd then again, if it’s indeed only an ‘additional 15£ discount’, shouldn’t they just do the right thing by their customers? There is this antiquated notion of having business/ moral principles, keeping your word, respecting your customers and the like. Doesn’t deserve any kind of further investment from us actually.īut please quit the condescending tone and get down from your high horse for a sec, will you? 15£/€ doesn’t have the same value for everyone. Yeah Jeff, you’re definitely right about one thing: this company doesn’t deserve our emotional investment. (Editing in Apple Photos with the Pixelmator Pro extension was good, but this is easier) You guys have come a long way since I first bought what is now call "Classic Pixelmator", and it really is a great App, and the Mac Version makes it easier to work with than on an iOS device. If Lifetime is what I hope is Lifetime, and that it will include Versions 4+, and there is not a "Pro" version requiring another Lifetime, then my total outlay since 2011 is not a bad deal. I went back to all my Pixelmator Purchases starting in 2011, never a subscription, and including the $70 for the current Photomator, have paid a little over $130. Just to add to it, Pixelmator Pro Lifetime owners get a 30% discount on a Photomator Lifetime. Thanks for the detailed explanation (should have been in the Blog Post Announcement, would have prevented a lot of confusion and questions). Now, to everyone asking about the special offers - there are a lot of different questions here so perhaps it will be easier to answer all of them this way. But is the anger worth it? May I recommend that you go out, shoot a few pictures, dress them up all pretty and nice in whatever version of Photomator you currently own, and then share them with family and friends? It may not put an extra £15 in your pocket, but I'll bet it'll be more fun than staying mad at Pixelmator. You have every right to feel that Pixelmator misled you, broke a promise to you, or otherwise deceived you. Please take a moment to reflect on whether the negative emotional investment now is really worth the £15. You weren't given an option to say, pre-order the brand-new app on the new platform when the new pricing model in support of that new app was announced because that same £8 investment got in the way. You think that you should get an additional £15 discount over and above the £30 discount you're being offered for a brand-new app on a new platform, due to that previous £8 investment. An £8 investment a while ago doesn't seem to have the effect on them that you want it to. To all those who feel hard done by Pixelmator because:
